Australian Christian Mission
Rob and Lynne Branham are both graduates of Central Christian College with a Major in Biblical Studies and a double minor in Education/Counseling. They have been in ministry for over 20 years in Missouri, Alaska, and Australia. Recently returning to Australia after a 10 year ministry in Alaska they learned of the opportunity to join Tim and Dawn Yates of the Australian Christian Mission to plant a new Church in Cameron Park, a residential area of Newcastle, located 2 hours north of Sydney.
The combination of the cost of living and exchange rate has made it very difficult to sustain the work here. The Lord has been faithful to provide our needs and we are amazed at His provision. We have seen Him work through many friends, family, and supporting Churches over the years. We are currently supported at 40% of our needed budget so there is still a need for full-time monthly support. We can’t do this alone.
The need in Australia is great. Less than 5% of the population go to Church on a regular basis and it has been reported that the young people of Australia are among the most Godless in the world. The average Church size is less than 50 people and there are many communities being built around the country with no local Church. I routinely teach Scripture class in the local primary school and many of the students have never heard the great stories of the Bible. There is much to be done.
